Origin Story

It all started with a doula discovery call.

Rachel was pregnant with her second child and searching for the right doula. She connected with Robin, and one afternoon they sat down for a discovery call. The conversation flowed easily- they laughed, shared, and got to know each other more deeply. At the end, Robin said something that stuck in Rachel’s heart:

​

"I would love to be your doula, but you have to meet Sarah."

 

There was no competition, only Robin’s genuine desire for Rachel to find the doula who felt most aligned with her.

Months later, after attending her first birth as a doula herself, Rachel met Sarah for lunch to reflect on the experience. Over that conversation, both of them voiced the same dream: the need for a collective. A space where doulas could support one another, rise together, and create something bigger than themselves.

​

The following week, Rachel and Sarah sat down with Robin- and the vision became clear. From that very first call, they knew: Central Wisconsin needed a collective of doulas. A community not only to strengthen each doula’s individual practice, but to provide encouragement, collaboration, and sisterhood.

That vision is now a reality. One by one, each of us found the collective in our own timing, not knowing we were all carrying the same dream. From our first gathering, our connections deepened into a true sisterhood, built on integrity, honesty, support, and respect.

Today, we are honored to serve you while uplifting each other. This collective and this website were created for you- to help you explore your options, connect with the doula who feels most aligned, and find the support you deserve for one of the most sacred days of your life.

In many ways, we had been waiting for each other before we even knew it.
